Like my mentor Earl Stevick, I will say simply that I am a learner, language teacher, and teacher trainer interested in engaging with other learners and teachers.

As President-Elect, and then President, I will continue to lead NERALLT in creating opportunities to explore ideas and questions about its focus, that is, “the use and development of technology-enhanced teaching and learning spaces, methodologies, and research for languages, literatures, and cultures.”

My involvement in NERALLT began in the early 1970s with the Boston Area Language Lab Directors’ group (BALLD) which I believe then grew into NERALLD/NERALLT. For the past two years I have served as Secretary of NERALLT.

What I have valued most of all are the personal connections with others and the inspiration that come from sharing ideas and solutions to common goals and challenges.
